Move for Hunger

|

Sometimes the most simple solution is the best way to solve a problem.  At Stadium Place, we are making it easy for residents to help those in need with a new program called Move for Hunger.  It's all part of our Pillar Passions program - basically, when a resident moves, they don’t have to hassle with moving the food in their kitchen.  We scoop up all their non-perishable items and get it to Northwest Harvest

We are one of the first apartment buildings in the city to adopt this new program and we were chosen by the Washington Multi-Family Housing Association (WMFHA) and a company called ABODA to pilot the program. We are honored to be the first property in the Seattle area to support the Move for Hunger initiative.

Although it makes us sad when residents move out, we love that Move for Hunger provides an easy solution for residents who are relocating.   In our first month after launching the program at Stadium Place, residents donated over 100 pounds of food. That equates to 83 meals through Northwest Harvest! Our program is now in full swing and we can't wait to see the impact it can make!

According to Northwest Harvest, one in five Washingtonians rely on their local food bank and we are honored to be a part of the Move for Hunger initiative to make a difference in our community.
